The latest Digital Hub update improves existing file checks and adds new checks that identify possible errors in tables of contents.
The new checks compare entries in the table of contents to the linked titles in the book. One check lists the first five potential text mismatches. The other reports the first five character style mismatches to help identify things like dropped or misapplied italics. To run the checks, convert a file with a TOC to ScML. Alternatively, upload an already linked ScML file to the Hub.
Mismatches should be reviewed, as some differences in the text pattern between the table of contents and chapter titles can result in false positives.
Other changes have improved file reporting for notes, figure heads, and table heads. These changes reduce false positives while being more specific and accurate about potential errors that occur in files.
