New ScML Styles

Scribe Markup Language has been updated to include new styles for consistency and frequent use case scenarios. This includes new standalone variations of senseline (poetry) sublevels, sidebar and box attribution styles, and table of contents styles for lists of illustrations. Conversion Changes

  • The Articulate Spacing Distinctions setting has been expanded to correctly adjust spacing in a broader range of contexts.
  • List items in the ePub 3 toc.xhtml file now receive a style attribute specifying that they should never be numbered.
  • All ePub HTML will receive an *.xhtml extension.
  • The Hub will nest navigation points for the ePub (in the toc.ncx or the toc.xhtml) based on their hierarchy.

  • IDTT tables use most common cell style in a row for the blank cells in that row (issue #122)
  • Additional XML whitespace cleanup performed in sam and ScML output
  • The "Articulate Spacing Distinctions" setting will ignore table, figure, and media styles when making spacing decisions about elements because those most often do not belong in the main text flow
